"We think of efficient teachers with a sense of recognition, but those who have touched our humanity we remember with gratitude. Learning is the less essential mineral, but warmth is the life-element for the child's soul, no less than for the growing plant."

Carl Gustav Jung, psychotherapist

Educators play an important and pivotal role in the academic growth of a student, as well as in the individual's overall mental, physical and emotional well-being. An educator's role is crucial in providing students with stable and continuous guidance and support.

The demands placed on educators today can be quite significant considering 1 in 5 students in Canada and the United States are affected by a mental and/or neurological condition(s). Affected students are not necessarily those in alternative schools or in special education classes, they may not have Individual Education Plans and may not even be diagnosed. Nonetheless, these students are present in typical classrooms every where across North America.

Because of the prevalence of these conditions, it's important for educators to gain a good understanding of various mental and neurological conditions affecting students today. The childhood reality has completely changed and so must educators be given the tool set to work with these students. The objective for both educator and student is to work and prevail within the academic environment in a healthy and constructive way.
This journey need not be filled with frustration, disappointment and hindrances.

Wildberry Productions has provided educators with tips and strategies to be used in the classroom. No two students are the same and as such, strategies that may work with one individual, may not be effective with another. To access this information, place your mouse over Educators link and a list of conditions will be displayed. Click on the condition of interest to you.

Under the Parents link, we also provide strategies to be used at home.

Also under the Educators link, Wildberry Productions provides educators with information regarding our Literacy Program. Have a look and let us know if you're interested in participating.
